Our Editorial Standards

Each article is written by a team member whose professional experience directly relates to the topic. Pool content is authored by our pool construction and design professionals. Landscape and garden content is written by our degreed designers. Turf care and lawn health content is authored by our turfcare management team. This is not general knowledge. It is practitioner-level expertise from professionals who do this work every day across Southeastern PA.

Before publication, every article is reviewed by a second Blue Tree team member for technical accuracy. The reviewer is identified by name alongside the author on each published article, so you always know who wrote it and who checked it.

Where we reference cost ranges, material specifications, or technical data, we draw from our own project records and verified external sources. For safety, health, and regulatory topics we cite primary sources such as the EPA, the CDC, Penn State Extension, and PA DEP. For construction and material standards we reference industry bodies including ICPI, the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance, and NALP, along with manufacturer documentation from partners such as Jandy and Fluidra. Our strongest source is our own verified project history, 43 years of it since 1983.

We review published articles at least annually to ensure accuracy, and more frequently for content that includes pricing, seasonal recommendations, or information affected by code and regulation changes. Every article displays a "Last Updated" date so you can see when it was most recently reviewed.
