How We Work: From Vision
to Reality, and Beyond

Every Blue Tree Outdoor Living project follows a proven three-phase workflow: Design, Build, and Maintain. Here is exactly what happens at every step, so there are no surprises, no miscommunication, and no disappearing acts.

Three Phases. One Unified Team.

Our process is built on a simple principle: seamless collaboration. While your project will naturally transition from Sales to Production, we don't believe in cold handoffs or disappearing acts. Your designer remains actively involved whenever needed, ensuring that no details are lost in translation. From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, our teams work hand-in-hand to bring your vision to life.

Phase 1: Design. It Starts With a Conversation.

Every Blue Tree project begins the same way, with a conversation. Not a sales pitch. A conversation. One of our degreed designers will visit your property, walk the space with you, and listen. We want to understand your vision, your lifestyle, and how you imagine using your outdoor space for years to come. We ask about the events you want to host, the memories you want to create, and the practical realities of your property: grade, drainage, sunlight, soil, and what the neighbors' property line looks like.

There is no cost for this consultation. There is no obligation. And we will not ask you to sign a contract at the first visit. We earn your business by showing you what is possible, not by pressuring you to decide.

Phase 2: Build. Supported Every Step of the Way.

This is where the conversation about Blue Tree being different from other contractors becomes tangible. Your designer, the same person who sat with you, listened to your vision, and created the 3D design, stays with your project through construction. They do not sell the job and disappear. They coordinate with the project manager and the installation crews. They are your single point of contact. If something changes, if you have a question, if there is an unexpected condition underground, your designer is the first call, not a customer service line.

Blue Tree Outdoor Living's five service divisions (Pools, Landscapes, Hardscapes, Healthy Yards, and Premier Outdoor Services) all operate under one roof. Your pool designer knows where the landscape crew needs to run the drainage. Your hardscape installer knows where the lighting conduit is going. Your grading plan accounts for the patio, the pool, the retaining wall, and the property's natural water flow, because the same team designed all of it. No subcontractor finger-pointing. No coordination headaches. No gaps between where the pool ends and the yard begins.

Phase 3: Maintain.
We Are Still Here After
the Check Clears.

This is where most contractors vanish. The project is done, the final payment is made, and you never hear from them again, until something goes wrong and they do not return your call.

Blue Tree Outdoor Living is different. We built our Premier Outdoor Services division specifically because we believe the relationship should not end when the last mulch is spread. We want to be your go-to company for every season that follows: spring clean-ups, fall maintenance, pool openings and closings, turf care programs, bed maintenance, pruning, and paver restoration.

This is not an upsell. It is the natural extension of a design-build process that was built for long-term relationships. We have clients who have been with us for 25 and 30 years. Some of them started as young homeowners and now their children are hiring us for their own properties. That does not happen when you disappear after the check clears.

What Our Clients Say

Common Questions

A custom concrete pool in Southeastern PA takes 4 to 6 months from contract signing to swim-ready, with 8 to 12 weeks of that being active on-site construction. The phases break down: 2 to 4 weeks of design and 3D rendering, 4 to 8 weeks of permitting and engineering review depending on the township, then the on-site build. Concrete needs structural cure time that vinyl liner and fiberglass pools skip. We're transparent about the schedule because surprise delays damage the relationship.

Every Blue Tree Outdoor Living project is custom, so there is no single price, but we are transparent about what drives it: pool size and shape, materials, your property's grade and access, and how much hardscape, landscape, and lighting wrap around it. Most clients invest in a complete outdoor living space, pool, patio, plantings, and lighting, as one coordinated project rather than piecing it together over years. We design to your budget: if the full vision is more than you want to spend right now, your designer will show you how to phase it. Financing is available through our lending partners, and your free on-site consultation ends with a clear, itemized proposal, so you know the real number before you commit.

Blue Tree Outdoor Living's Complete Backyard Process runs 7 stages: Consultation and Listening Session, Design and 2D Rendering, Transparent Proposal, Permitting and Engineering, Construction and Build, Walkthrough and Education, and Ongoing Care. The design phase includes a CAD plan, a 3D rendering showing the project in the context of your full property, and multiple revisions at no extra cost. Your designer leads every stage, so you don't get handed off between sales and project management.

Yes. Your designer is your point of contact from the first site visit through construction, final walkthrough, and warranty period. That's a structural choice, not a marketing line. With 13 to 14 year average employee tenure across the company, the person designing your project is likely still here when you call three years later about an addition. No handoffs between sales and project management. The designer's name goes on the project file.

Yes. Blue Tree Outdoor Living manages township permits, impervious surface calculations, engineering review, variance applications, and HOA approval submissions as part of every project. Each municipality has its own ordinances; we know how Skippack, Lower Providence, Worcester, Doylestown, West Chester, and the other townships in our seven-county area handle the process. Some townships approve in two weeks; others run six to eight. The permit window factors into the build schedule you sign.

A dedicated Blue Tree Outdoor Living project manager runs the site through every active build day. You'll see the same crew faces from start to finish because Blue Tree uses in-house crews, not subcontractors, on the core trades. Daily site updates on progress and decisions go to you. The site gets restored before walkthrough: final grading, seed, and straw on disturbed turf, complete cleanup of construction debris. Your designer stays involved through the final walkthrough.

Project start windows depend on season and project type. Custom concrete pool builds and major hardscape projects run a 6 to 12 week lead time from signed design through ground-breaking, longer during peak spring booking when our crew calendars fill. Landscape and Healthy Yards work has shorter lead times. The discovery call happens within 48 business hours of your form submission. From there your designer schedules the on-site visit.

Three Phases. One Designer.
Six Steps from Vision to Care.

This is where Blue Tree Outdoor Living's commitment to continuity becomes tangible. As we transition into construction, your Construction Manager takes the lead on the daily build and logistics, but your designer never disappears. Because they sat with you, listened to your vision, and created the design, they remain intimately involved as a crucial layer of support, ready to jump in at any moment. Your designer stays in constant communication with the construction team, ensuring the vision is executed perfectly. If you have questions or if unexpected site conditions arise, your designer is right there alongside the construction manager to provide answers. Blue Tree's five service divisions (Pools, Landscapes, Hardscapes, Healthy Yards, and Premier Outdoor Services) all operate under one roof. Your pool designer knows where the landscape crew needs to run the drainage, and your Construction Manager ensures it happens flawlessly. No subcontractor finger-pointing. No coordination headaches. Just a unified team bringing your project to life.
