I became a customer of Blue Tree the fall of 2018 after installing a pool. They did a nice job starting a lawn from scratch in the areas affected by pool construction. In the fall of 2019, after experiencing much deterioration of the lawn areas that they planted the previous year (due to crabgrass primarily), they recommended overseeding and core aeration my entire lawn which I agreed to, and which they did. I also signed up for their seven step silver lawn care plan for 2020. As of August 2020, four steps into the silver plan, I have to express my disappointment overall. Some lawn areas are better than ever; others worse than ever or not improved over the condition before I signed up with them. The issues with the bad areas involve the emergence of crabgrass and wide spread bare areas (due to a foreign species of grass – so they told me). I want to say that I enjoy the people at Blue Tree. They are clearly a cut above other outfits I tried such as True Green and Weedman. Still, for the price I expected better results than I am seeing currently.
Follow up: Blue Tree responded promptly to the review that I posted. The owner personally came to my residence and walked down my 1.5 acre yard with me. We came to an understanding of the issues and worked out a solid plan going forward. I expect improved results, and intend to continue doing business with them.
April 2021: I want to acknowledge and thank Blue Tree for the work they did refurbishing my front-side lawn (approx 1/4 acre) last November (2020) following some construction work. This work involved removing rocks/debris, spreading new topsoil, planting grass seed and overlaying with straw. Here in the spring, this area of the lawn is full, weed free and green. This work, in conjunction with their overall turf-care program that I signed up for again, has made my front-side and entire lawn the best it has ever looked.
