When the sun goes down, the right lighting keeps your walkways safe and your best features in view. Blue Tree designs and installs pathway, step, and accent lighting that guides people through the property and draws the eye to the trees, walls, and gardens worth showing off. For 43 years, our designers have lit paths and features across Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Pathway lighting is easy to get wrong: too bright, too sparse, or aimed straight into your eyes. Blue Tree designs it the way it should be, low, even, and glare-free, so steps and walkways are safe without looking like a runway. Accent lighting is planned the same way, with fixtures hidden and light doing the work, highlighting specimen trees, stone walls, and entries. Every fixture is low-voltage LED, professionally wired and aimed, and tuned at night. Blue Tree has designed lighting across Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Berks, and Philadelphia Counties since 1983.

Pathway and accent lighting projects from Blue Tree typically start around $2,500 to $4,000 for a front-walk and entry design and scale up from there as you add steps, accent fixtures, and patio lighting, as of 2026. Fixture count and wiring runs drive the number. Every project starts with a free consultation and an itemized proposal.
Glare comes from fixtures that are too tall, too bright, or aimed at eye level. Blue Tree uses low, shielded fixtures spaced for even coverage, and aims everything so you see the light on the path, not the bulb. We tune each fixture at night, which is when glare problems actually show up.
Yes. Blue Tree regularly retrofits lighting into existing paths, steps, and patios, running low-voltage wiring with minimal disruption to finished hardscape and beds. We can also coordinate lighting if you are renovating the hardscape at the same time.
Almost always. Blue Tree installs low-voltage LED pathway and accent lighting, which is safer, more energy-efficient, and easier to adjust than line-voltage systems. A transformer steps the power down, and fixtures can be re-aimed or moved as the landscape grows.
Yes. Blue Tree uses fixtures and transformers sealed and rated for our freeze-thaw winters, and path and step lighting is most valuable exactly when nights are long and footing is icy. LEDs are unaffected by cold and draw very little power.
