Blue Tree is a full-service residential design-build firm headquartered in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, with more than four decades of experience designing, building, and maintaining outdoor living spaces across Southeastern PA. We Stand Behind Every Project

Blue Tree's warranty coverage is specific to each service division and the materials we install. Here's a high-level overview. Visit the full Warranties page for complete terms, durations, and coverage details.

Pools

Structural: lifetime structural warranty on concrete pool shells. Equipment and finishes: one year. Plaster color variation, scaling from pH, and minor cracking (crazing) are not covered. These are normal characteristics of hand-applied materials.

Landscapes

Plant material: one-year, one-time replacement from date of installation. Covers weather-related loss (heat waves, harsh winters). Does not cover loss from homeowner over- or under-watering. Drip irrigation controller must be brought indoors before first frost.

Hardscapes

Workmanship: two-year warranty on patios, walkways, and all hardscape installations. If an issue arises, we write up a work order and schedule a repair, straightforward, no runaround.

Healthy Yards

Turf care: no formal warranty on grass seed due to environmental variables, but Blue Tree follows up on seeding work as standard practice, because doing right by our customers matters more than fine print. Mosquito and tick: re-treatment at no additional cost if results are unsatisfactory after an application.

Common Questions

The Blue Tree Service Hub is organized into three sections: FAQs, Care and Instructions, and Warranties. If you have a general question about pools, landscapes, or hardscapes, start with the FAQs page. If you need step-by-step seasonal guidance on caring for an installed system, go to Care and Instructions. If you have a question about what is covered after a project is complete, go to Warranties. Each section is organized by service division, so pool owners, landscape clients, and hardscape clients can find answers relevant to their specific installation without reading through unrelated content. If you cannot find an answer in any of those sections, the Request a Free Consultation form at the bottom of each page routes your question to the right team member.

Blue Tree's warranty coverage varies by service type. Pool shells carry a lifetime structural warranty on the concrete or fiberglass structure itself. Most other installations, including hardscape, landscape, and irrigation work, carry a 2-year workmanship warranty. Equipment installed by Blue Tree, such as Hayward, Pentair, and Jandy pool equipment, is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, typically 3 years on pumps and heaters. Warranty terms are written into your project contract and are accessible in the Warranties section of this Service Hub. The most important thing to understand is that Blue Tree workmanship warranties are separate from manufacturer passthrough warranties: a warranty claim on a Pentair pump goes to Pentair; a warranty claim about how the pump was installed goes to Blue Tree.

Seasonal care instructions for all Blue Tree service lines are in the Care and Instructions section of this Service Hub. Instructions are organized by service type: pool opening and closing procedures, landscape seasonal maintenance calendars, hardscape care and joint sand maintenance, and irrigation startup and winterization guides. Each guide is written for Southeastern PA conditions specifically, including timing around our frost depth of 36 inches, typical ground freeze dates of mid-December to early March, and Spotted Lanternfly management, which is now relevant to every property in all seven counties Blue Tree serves. Generic manufacturer care guides do not account for these regional specifics, which is why Blue Tree publishes its own care library rather than pointing clients to product datasheets.

To submit a warranty claim, call or email Blue Tree Outdoor Living and describe the issue, including your project address, the approximate installation date, and what you are observing. A team member will schedule an on-site review within 5 to 10 business days, depending on season (spring pool opening and fall closing seasons are our busiest). After the site visit, Blue Tree provides a written resolution, either confirming warranty coverage and scheduling repair or explaining why the issue falls outside warranty terms. Keeping your original contract and any post-project inspection documents makes the claim process faster. Full details on the warranty claim process are in the Warranties section of this Service Hub.

A property with both a pool and landscape installed by Blue Tree has a 12-month service calendar that runs roughly as follows: February and March cover dormant pruning and pre-season pool inspection; April and May cover spring landscape cleanup, pre-emergent application, mulch, and pool opening; June through August cover weekly pool chemistry, lawn fertilization, pest monitoring (Japanese beetle grubs peak June to August), and irrigation management; September and October cover landscape renovation planting, lawn aeration and overseeding, and pool chemistry transition; November covers fall landscape cleanup, Spotted Lanternfly egg mass removal, and pool closing by mid-month. Blue Tree service plans can cover as many or as few of these touchpoints as the property requires.

For urgent service issues during business hours, call Blue Tree Outdoor Living at (610) 222-0590. Our design center is located at 4494 Skippack Pike in Schwenksville. For non-urgent issues or off-hours questions, use the Request a Free Consultation form on this site and note that your inquiry is time-sensitive. Blue Tree does not currently offer 24-hour emergency service for all divisions, so pool equipment failures in the middle of the night should be addressed by shutting off the pump breaker and contacting us the next morning. For a pool structural concern, freeze event, or erosion failure after a major storm, note that in your submission and a team member will prioritize the response.
