What Sets Blue Tree's Pool Renovation Apart

Most pool renovation quotes stop at the waterline. A resurfacing crew handles the plaster, a mason patches the coping, and the homeowner is left coordinating the deck, the drainage, and the landscaping that got torn up in between. Blue Tree handles the whole project under one roof. Blue Tree designers plan the renovation around the full backyard, crews replace tile, coping, plaster, decking, and equipment in one coordinated sequence, and a 15-year pool construction track record stands behind the structural work. Blue Tree has served Southeastern Pennsylvania since 1983 and publishes the full warranty matrix, including a 10-year limited warranty on Quality Finish plaster. Our Pool Renovation Process

Every renovation starts with an honest assessment of what your pool needs now and what can wait. From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, one Blue Tree designer manages the project.
1

Step 1: Free Consultation and Pool Assessment

Your designer walks the property, inspects the shell, tile, coping, plaster, decking, and equipment, and asks how you use the pool today and what you want it to become. You get a plain assessment of what needs replacement now, what can wait a season, and whether the project calls for a refresh or a full remodel. There is no pressure for a same-day decision.
2

Step 2: Design and Detailed Proposal

For cosmetic updates, your designer specs materials and finishes with you side by side. For larger remodels, CAD and 3D renderings show the new pool, deck, and surrounding landscape before any concrete is cut. The proposal names the price and what drives it: finish tier, equipment package, decking material, and site conditions. The bid is the price.
3

Step 3: Permits, Materials, and Scheduling

Blue Tree handles township permitting in-house when the remodel requires it, orders tile, coping, plaster, and equipment from established suppliers, and schedules the crews so the work runs in the right order. Renovations are sequenced to protect the parts of the pool and yard that are staying, and you get a start window before demolition begins.
4

Step 4: Renovation and Remodeling Work

Demolition, surface prep, and installation run as one coordinated project overseen by pool construction managers Mike Wadsworth and Cliff Doratt, who bring 46 or more combined years in the pool industry. Crews replace tile and coping, apply new plaster, set decking, and install Jandy equipment to manufacturer specification. Anything the work disturbs, from lawn to planting beds to grading, gets restored before the job closes.
5

Step 5: Walkthrough, Startup, and Warranty

Your designer walks the finished pool with you, the equipment is started up and balanced, and you get clear guidance on caring for fresh plaster through its cure period. The published Blue Tree warranty matrix backs the work: a 10-year limited warranty on Quality Finish plaster, 2 years on tile and coping, and 3 years workmanship on Jandy equipment.

Pool Renovation Options for Every Property

From a fresh interior finish to a complete rebuild of the pool environment, Blue Tree scopes each renovation to the pool, the property, and the way your family uses both.

Designed for Southeastern
Pennsylvania's Freeze-Thaw Climate

Southeastern Pennsylvania winters are hard on concrete pools. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles work water into hairline gaps behind tile and coping, pH swings wear plaster from the inside, and the region's clay soils can shift a deck out of level a little more each season. Blue Tree renovation crews see these conditions across Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Berks, and Philadelphia Counties, so the fix is matched to the cause rather than the symptom. Where a remodel changes the pool's footprint or adds structures, township permitting and impervious surface requirements vary by municipality. Blue Tree confirms what applies during the site evaluation and handles the paperwork in-house.

Complete Your Pool Renovation with Hardscaping, Planting, and Ongoing Care

Patios and Outdoor Kitchens: A renovation is the natural moment to extend the pool deck into a full outdoor living space. Blue Tree's ICPI-certified hardscape crews build patios, sitting walls, and outdoor kitchens with a 2-year workmanship warranty.

Landscape Design and Planting: Renovation work disturbs the pool perimeter. Blue Tree's degreed designers replant it with three-season interest in mind, using plant material suited to USDA Zones 6b and 7a.

Pool Maintenance and Year-Round Care: Premier Outdoor Services keeps the renovated pool, and everything else outside the house, cared for by one company on one invoice.

Common Questions

It depends on scope. Replacing waterline tile and coping costs far less than a remodel that reshapes the pool and rebuilds the deck. Blue Tree quotes each renovation after a designer inspects the pool in person, and the proposal names what drives the price: finish tier, coping and decking material, equipment package, and site conditions. The bid is the price. Request a free consultation for a number specific to your pool.

Scope sets the schedule. A replaster with new tile and coping is a far shorter project than a full remodel that reshapes the pool, which can also involve township permitting before work starts. Your Blue Tree designer includes a project schedule in the proposal and gives you a start window before demolition begins, and crews are sequenced so the pool sits open no longer than the work requires.

Yes. Blue Tree renovates concrete pools regardless of who built them, including pools that came with the house or whose original builder is no longer around. The assessment works the same way: a designer inspects the shell, surfaces, decking, and equipment, then lays out what needs attention now and what can wait. One scope note: Blue Tree works on concrete (gunite and shotcrete) pools, not vinyl liner or fiberglass pools.

Whatever the pool and the property call for. Common scope includes new waterline tile and coping, fresh plaster, upgraded Jandy equipment, expanded or replaced decking, and added water features or lighting. A full remodel can reshape the pool itself and redesign the surrounding hardscape and landscape as one project. Blue Tree designs and builds all of it in-house, so the deck, drainage, and planting are planned with the pool rather than patched around it.

Yes, and the terms are published rather than promised. Quality Finish plaster carries a 10-year limited warranty and standard white plaster carries a 1-year limited warranty. Tile, coping, and veneer work is covered for 2 years, decking carries a limited 1-year warranty, and Jandy equipment carries 3 years on workmanship. Color variation, scaling from pH, minor crazing, and texture unevenness are normal characteristics of hand-applied plaster, and the warranty names those exclusions in writing.

No. Emergency repair as a standalone service is referred to a trusted specialist. Blue Tree renovation work is planned project work: replastering, tile and coping replacement, equipment upgrades, decking, and remodels. If an aging pool keeps producing problems, a renovation consultation is often the better conversation than another patch, and a designer can assess whether the underlying issue is surface wear, equipment, or the structure.
