Blue Tree Warranties

Every Blue Tree project comes with warranty coverage named in writing in the proposal before you sign. This page publishes the coverage across pools, hardscapes, landscapes, and Healthy Yards. Return to the Blue Tree service resources for FAQs, care instructions, and related support.
Most contractors promise comprehensive coverage and leave it there. Blue Tree publishes the actual terms. The concrete pool shell carries a lifetime structural warranty. Equipment, hardscape workmanship, plant material, and lighting each carry their own defined coverage, all named in your proposal and reviewed with you at your final walkthrough. Publishing these terms is the proof: if a number is on this page, it is a number we stand behind.
The coverage below reflects standard Blue Tree projects. Your written proposal and contract are the controlling documents for the warranty terms on your specific job.

Warranty Coverage by Division

The stack is grouped below by the kind of work. Specific durations, conditions, and exclusions are named in your project proposal and reviewed at your final walkthrough. For a coverage question on an existing project, contact your designer or our Skippack office.

Pool Warranties

Blue Tree builds concrete inground pools (gunite or shotcrete) and fiberglass inground pools. The lifetime structural warranty on this page applies to concrete shells built with gunite or shotcrete. Coverage for fiberglass shells and installed equipment is defined in your written proposal, contract, and manufacturer documents.
  • Concrete pool shell: Lifetime structural warranty for the original homeowner.
  • Pool equipment (Jandy and Fluidra): 3 years workmanship, plus applicable manufacturer terms.
  • Plumbing and electrical: 2 years.
  • Gas line: 2 years.
  • Tile, coping, and veneer: 2 years.
  • Decking: 1 year limited.
  • White plaster: 1 year limited.
  • Quality Finish plaster: 10 years limited.
Plaster is hand-applied. Color variation, scaling related to pH or water chemistry, and minor crazing are excluded from coverage. Your written warranty and contract control the terms for your project.

Hardscape Warranties

Blue Tree's hardscape crews are ICPI certified, and the workmanship on patios, walls, walkways, and outdoor kitchens is warranted for two years. Manufacturer warranties on the pavers and natural stone themselves, many of which run far longer, are passed through to you.
  • Hardscape workmanship: 2 years.
  • Paver and natural stone material: Manufacturer warranty passed through to the homeowner per the manufacturer's terms.

Landscape, Lighting, and Fencing Warranties

Plant material is warranted for one year with a one-time replacement, provided it has been watered and cared for per the guide your team provides at project close. Low voltage lighting and fencing each carry a two-year warranty.
Plant replacement assumes the plant was watered and maintained according to the care guide emailed at job close. Watering is the single biggest factor in whether new plantings survive their first Southeastern Pennsylvania season.

Healthy Yards and Service Guarantees

Some services are backed through follow-up work rather than a fixed-term warranty. Seed, sod, and turf care do not carry a formal warranty, because results depend on watering, weather, and soil. Follow-up work to get the result is standard practice for our team.
  • Grass seed and sod: No formal warranty. Follow-up work to establish the lawn is standard practice.
  • Turf care: No formal warranty. Follow-up work is standard practice.
  • Mosquito and tick control: Re-treatment guarantee if results are unsatisfactory.
  • Pool cover: 1 year, per the manufacturer.
If a Healthy Yards result is not what you expected, contact your Premier Outdoor Services team and they will schedule the follow-up. The goal is the result, not a line on a warranty card.

How to File a Warranty Claim

The process is simple. Contact your designer or use the Blue Tree service team contact form and describe the issue. Send a photo if you can. Blue Tree reviews the request, confirms whether an on-site inspection is needed, and explains the next step and available scheduling. The crew that built your project is often the crew that returns because Blue Tree's average employee tenure is 13 to 14 years.

Maintenance and Your Warranty

Your warranty assumes reasonable care and the terms in your signed project documents. Plant replacement assumes proper watering. The lifetime structural warranty applies to the concrete pool shell under the terms of the signed pool construction contract. For seasonal checklists and product-specific care, visit our Care Instructions page. For a coverage question, contact your designer or use the Blue Tree service team contact form.

Frequently Asked Questions

The lifetime structural warranty covers the structural integrity of every concrete pool shell Blue Tree builds, for as long as the original homeowner owns the property. Structural integrity means the shell stays watertight and intact under normal use. Cosmetic finishes like plaster and tile have their own warranty terms. The lifetime warranty exists because concrete pools, built right by certified construction managers like Mike Wadsworth (Certified Building Professional, concrete pool concentration) and Cliff Doratt, are engineered to outlast the homeowner's tenure in the home.

Pool warranties break into three layers. Manufacturer warranties cover equipment (pumps, heaters, filters); Blue Tree uses Jandy/Fluidra equipment, which carries Jandy's manufacturer terms. Installer warranties cover the workmanship; Blue Tree's installer warranty runs 3 years on equipment workmanship and 2 years on plumbing, electrical, and gas line. Shell warranties cover the pool structure; Blue Tree carries a lifetime structural warranty on the concrete shell. One call to Blue Tree covers all three.

No. The Blue Tree lifetime structural warranty on the pool shell and the 10-year Quality Finish plaster warranty are tied to the original homeowner who signed the build contract. If you sell the home, the new owner does not inherit the warranty coverage. Manufacturer warranties on Jandy pool equipment, low voltage lighting components, and similar third-party items follow each manufacturer's transfer terms, which vary by product. Hardscape, landscape, and Healthy Yards workmanship warranties expire at the original warranty term regardless of ownership change.

Hardscape installation from Blue Tree carries a 2-year workmanship warranty covering installation defects, settlement issues, and structural concerns on patios, walls, walkways, and outdoor kitchens. Landscape plant material comes with a 1-year, one-time replacement warranty when the property follows the post-install care plan. Low voltage landscape lighting is covered 2 years on workmanship. Mark Peasley's Healthy Yards mosquito and tick program carries a re-treatment guarantee if results are unsatisfactory between scheduled visits.

Warranty covers defects: a pump that fails inside the 3-year Jandy workmanship term, a hardscape settlement that violates the 2-year coverage, or a pool shell structural issue under the lifetime warranty. Maintenance covers normal wear: replenishing pool chemicals, re-staining a wood pergola at year five, or refilling joint sand on a paver patio after a decade. Maintenance is part of owning the project, not part of what Blue Tree warrants against. The line is rarely ambiguous.

Call your designer directly, or use Blue Tree's service team contact form. Describe the issue, send a photo if you can, and a Blue Tree crew inspects on site. There's no third-party adjuster between you and the resolution. If the issue falls under warranty, we repair or replace under the applicable term (lifetime structural, 3-year Jandy, 2-year hardscape, etc.). If it's maintenance-side or out-of-scope, you'll get a clear explanation and a path forward.
