We hired Blue Tree for extensive landscape gardening + also a much needed patio refurbishment. Our garden, over 2+ Covid years, had become overgrown due to 'plant-spread'/ weeds. Blue Tree removed all of the overgrowth + created a beautiful, thoughtful pattern to the plants - our 'English Garden' now looks elegant + well manicured while still retaining the atmosphere of a naturalist space. The crew (Andy - team leader; E.J. + Matt) were professional, courteous and attentive to detail. What was extra-special was that they maintained a stellar attitude while working in the challenge of extreme heat/ drought conditions!

The patio had been a mess - our pavers hadn't been cleaned or sanded in years. The hardscaping team was meticulous in the cleaning of each paver; and then the re-sanding crew was ever so thorough in re-grouting where we had holes + cracks. They did a final sand coat over the entire surface, and the patio looks better than when it was new!

Of all the kudos I give Blue Tree, perhaps what 'sealed the deal' for me was the responsiveness + fair regard I experienced throughout the process. When I originally put the 'job out for bid,' I received 5 proposals. Two companies were cheaper, but ill prepared to do the quality work I was looking for. The other two companies were so far beyond the scope of budget, all I can say is that they appeared to be 'price-gouging' to make a quick buck.

Blue Tree came in with a bid that was fair, competitive + commensurate for what I wanted done. Additionally, and perhaps more importantly for me, Project Manager - Tim T., was willing to accommodate my schedule. I am a High School teacher, and I needed to get everything finished within a window of time before returning to the classroom. Tim made that happen. For me, as a customer, his responsiveness in keeping me in the loop + willingness to create a workable schedule that respected my time constraints was - well - extraordinary. With Blue Tree - the CUSTOMER STILL COMES FIRST!!!

“From the minute we talked to Mark Dahl when he came to assess the job, we knew he was the person for the job! He was professional and clearly knew what he was talking about. We had been having flooding issues in our yard to the extent it was getting in our basement. Then men who came to do the work were professional as well. They finished the job in the time they said it would take too. They laid sod and gave us detailed directions for watering. Mark stopped by the next day to check on everything and even helped us with a sprinkler that we couldn’t get to work properly. After committing to the services, I found out that the work would not be scheduled until mid - June! “I became a customer of Blue Tree the fall of 2018 after installing a pool. They did a nice job starting a lawn from scratch in the areas affected by pool construction. In the fall of 2019, after experiencing much deterioration of the lawn areas that they planted the previous year (due to crabgrass primarily), they recommended overseeding and core aeration my entire lawn which I agreed to, and which they did. I also signed up for their seven step silver lawn care plan for 2020. As of August 2020, four steps into the silver plan, I have to express my disappointment overall. Some lawn areas are better than ever; others worse than ever or not improved over the condition before I signed up with them. The issues with the bad areas involve the emergence of crabgrass and wide spread bare areas (due to a foreign species of grass - so they told me). I want to say that I enjoy the people at Blue Tree. They are clearly a cut above other outfits I tried such as True Green and Weedman. Still, for the price I expected better results than I am seeing currently.

Follow up: Blue Tree responded promptly to the review that I posted. The owner personally came to my residence and walked down my 1.5 acre yard with me. We came to an understanding of the issues and worked out a solid plan going forward. I expect improved results, and intend to continue doing business with them.

April 2021: I want to acknowledge and thank Blue Tree for the work they did refurbishing my front-side lawn (approx 1/4 acre) last November (2020) following some construction work. This work involved removing rocks/debris, spreading new topsoil, planting grass seed and overlaying with straw. Here in the spring, this area of the lawn is full, weed free and green. This work, in conjunction with their overall turf-care program that I signed up for again, has made my front-side and entire lawn the best it has ever looked.”

“These folks renovated our pool in late 2014. Although the process was not without issues, the end result is beautiful, and Blue Tree was responsive and reasonable in addressing those issues. Recently, a couple of our coping tiles flaked, and this past week they came to replace them. Initially the wrong grout color was used but, again, Blue Tree responded professionally by scraping out the grout and replacing it with the correct color. I couldn't be happier. I have managed dozens of projects at our home, ranging from small renovations to the complete rebuilding of our in-law apartment following a fire. No project goes completely without issues. The key to a good contractor is how they handle those problems, and Blue Tree did so in an extremely professional manner.”

“We have been a customer of Blue Tree for 10+ years.  We started using them for fertilizing our lawn but needed landscape services beyond lawn treatment. We have since used them for removal of a large Spruce tree that was damaged during a hurricane and in eminent damage of falling on our home. They came out the day we called to assess the damage and within a couple of days, the tree was removed. We had our landscaping completely cleaned and redone, both front and back. We worked with Jonathan to put together two stage plans and are so pleased with the completed projects!  We had two different crews, one for the back yard in the Fall and another crew this Spring for the front and around the entire house. Both crews were very hard working, professional at all times, and so courteous. They worked 8am-5pm (or later) every day except when the weather was adverse. We were included in all plant selections and placements, with us getting final approval before digging. As well, we had four trees that required substantial pruning. We are so pleased with the results and even had a neighbor tell us how wonderful everything looks. We feel we were giving an excellent product for the money spent!
