Jeff Mattiola, Owner, President
Jeff has been involved in the business since 1983. As president, he oversees all aspects of the company and the day to day operations. Jeff specializes in the landscape, hardscape, and pool installations for Blue Tree Landscaping as well as sales for the company. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and lives in Upper Providence with his wife, Maureen and their four children. When not working, Jeff enjoys reading books on the beach, fishing trips, biking on the trails, vacationing with his family and floating in a pool with his favorite beverage.
Chad Ochnich, Owner, Vice President
Chad joined Blue Tree in 1994 and shortly after became part owner. Chad manages the daily operations and productivity of the maintenance crews. He studied at Delaware Valley College and is an expert in turf care management. He also holds a ICPI certification for hardscape installation. Chad lives in Upper Providence with his wife, Anique and their two children. In his spare time, Chad enjoys watching his daughter’s archery tournaments as well as hunting, fishing and vacationing with his family.
Fred Barberra, Commercial Property Manager/Landscape Designer
Fred joined the Blue Tree team in 2014 and brings over thirty-five years of landscape experience to our company. He is a Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Delaware Valley University. In his spare time, Fred enjoys his family’s equestrian sports as well as running in trail and obstacle races. He is the owner of Springview Farms, a horse farm in the Harleysville area. Fred is also a Vice President of Mounted Games Across America.
Tim Tuhacek, Landscape Designer/Sales
Tim has been a landscape designer for Blue Tree since 2012 and has a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Environmental Design. He spends his days meeting with potential clients to discuss their needs, designing and presenting proposals, and making sure that all his clients expectations are met upon project completion.
Mark Peasley, Turfcare Manager
Mark is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Turfgrass Science. He has 15 years of experience in the turf industry and has spent the last four years at Blue Tree managing the residential and commercial lawn care department. His previous experiences included professional and NCAA athletic field management, golf course management, and university research. When not meeting with his clients, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and taking in the outdoors. His favorite vacation spots are the Jersey Shore, Maine and the Poconos.
Johnathan Jensen, Landscape Designer/Sales
Jonathan joined our team in 2018. He is a graduate of Rutgers, The State University of NJ, with a degree in Environmental Planning and Design. When not focusing on his latest landscape design, Jonathan enjoys hiking and camping and is an avid reader of a variety of genres. He also recently purchased a mountain bike and is looking forward to hitting the trails!
Alex Jimpikit, Production Manager
Alex started at Blue Tree eleven years ago and although his main job is to supervise, he really enjoys teaching the skills he has learned to other crew members. He believes that teamwork and communication are essential to all crews working towards one goal which is client satisfaction. Alex obtained drafting and design skills from the ITT Technical Institute which has helped him to contribute positive feedback on many of his landscaping projects. When not at work, Alex enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. They love taking road trips to extended family cookouts, fishing from sunrise to sunset, and just being together outdoors.
Tom Walsh, Facilities Manager
Tom is coming up on his eleven year anniversary with Blue Tree. He has a lot of experience in landscape construction, equipment repair and equipment operations. He also has thirty plus years in the farming industry. In his spare time, Tom likes golfing, listening to live music, time with his family, and enjoying all aspects of sports.
John Cameron, Project Manager
John started at Blue Tree four years ago and has twenty years experience in hardscaping, concrete, and landscaping. He studied business at BCCC. When not working with the sales team and his crews, he enjoys hiking, golfing and traveling.
Justin Acal, Landscape Designer/Sales
Justin joined our team in 2019 but has over six years in the pool industry creating custom gunite pools. He has a degree from Rutgers University in Landscape Architecture. Justin really enjoys wake boarding and deep sea fishing off the coast of the Jersey Shore in his spare time.
John Labb, Production Manager
John is starting on his fifth year here at Blue Tree. He received a two year degree from Rutgers Golf Course Turf Management School and has 25 years experience in the golf course industry as an assistant and superintendent. He is a former member of both the Golf Course Superintendents and the Philadelphia Association of Golf Course Superintendents. John also has a lot of experience in commercial services and snow management. When he’s not managing the commercial and residential mowing, or doing proposals, John likes to spend quality time with his wife, family and friends.
James Gonczkowski, Production Manager
James has been working at Blue Tree for four years but has had an interest in landscaping since he was 15. He is ICPI Certified and excels in plant and tree identification. Throughout his career, he has had experience in building ponds, as well as doing natural stonework and masonry. When not working, James likes camping, playing pool and spending time with his family. James is a former member of the United States Marine Corps.
Nancy Pumilia, Controller
Nancy joined Blue Tree in 2014 to help manage the financial end of the growing business. She has an accounting degree from Penn State University and over 25 years accounting experience with leadership roles at various service and hospitality companies in areas including financials, payroll, and cash management. She also has experience in business management disciplines including HR, benefits management and IT accounting and POS systems implementation. When Nancy isn’t meeting with the owners or working on spreadsheets, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, is an active sports parent, and appreciates time on the beach and being outdoors.
Maureen Mattiola, Marketing Manager
Maureen joined the Blue Tree team in 2016 after being a stay at home mom for 20+ years to her four children. Although the marketing world has become very digital since the last time she was employed, Maureen welcomes the challenge of learning all about it. She is a graduate of Bloomsburg University and when not working on promotional material or posting our latest jobs to social media, Maureen enjoys listening to country music, taking long bike rides and vacationing at the Jersey Shore with her family.
Aggie Kriebel, Administrative Assistant/ Accounts Payable
Aggie started at Blue Tree twelve years ago and has really enjoyed being an asset to the company’s growth. She handles all the account payables, attends to the many incoming phone calls and offers other administrative support to Blue Tree. Aggie likes cooking, gardening, and watching movies but her favorite time is spent with her grandson!
Betty Bauman, Administrative Assistant/Accounts Receivable
Betty came to Blue Tree seven years ago after being self employed for over 25 years. At the office, she fields most of the incoming calls as well as preparing the monthly statements and running reports for the accountants. When away from the busy office, Betty enjoys reading, gardening, taking care of her home and quality time with her family.
Robin Grayson, Accountant/Human Resources Assistant
Robin started at Blue Tree in 2019 and has really caught on to the fast-past working environment here at Blue Tree. She brings with her twenty plus years experience as a support person in HR, training and accounting as well as a degree in business management. When not crunching financial numbers, Robin enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and being outdoors. She also earned her 1st degree Black Belt in American Kenpo.
John Kostesich, Pool Construction Manager
John was hired in 2018 and brings with him eighteen years of pool building experience. John has a degree in Business Management, is in the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals and has a Certified Building Professional Certificate. When not overseeing his pool projects with Blue Tree, John really enjoys visiting his four grandchildren as much as possible.
Mike Wadsworth, Production Manager
Mike started at Blue Tree in April 2019 and brought with him twenty years of experience in the landscaping industry. He is Kafmo certified “Keystone Athletic Field Maintenance Organization” and is bilingual. Mike also has a good knowledge of the hardscaping industry. He has a degree in history and criminal justice and also studied psychology at Shippensburg University. When not managing his crews, Mike is managing his children and their activities; his oldest is a swimmer for HHAA and Team USA and his youngest is active in soccer and basketball. Mike also enjoys playing in his competitive men’s softball league on Sunday mornings.
